    Apple announced the iPad a couple days ago. $499 for the 16GB WiFi edition. Looks pretty great for media consumption.

    Time Warner Cable changed my home IP address today. It hasn’t changed in two moves and as many years, before today.

      This seems to have caused Google to think I want google.es as my search engine. Happened to a lot of other folks on TWC in the area, as well.

    Marshall handed out candy to Trick or Treaters at Jenny and Justin’s house. Very cute, very patient. Gave candy to dozens of kids.

    We got two dogs: Bella, a nine month old pembroke welsh corgi, is ours; Jake, an eight year old huskie, belongs to a woman who is currently seeking new living arrangements that allow pets, and will stay with us in the interim.

    Went up to Windy Ridge Orchard today. Marshall seemed pretty impressed that you could pull and apple off a tree and just start eating it. He also liked the donkeys.

    I’ve been getting regular lockups (beach balls) on my unibody MacBook Pro. Found this thread on Apple discussion boards, linking to this thread on the MacRumors forums. Downgraded my firmware, waiting to see if the lockups persist.

      As part of this change, my internal SATA was downgraded from 3Gbps to 1.5Gbps.
