Finally re-enabled memcached on my WordPress install. nginx + php-fpm + memcached + wordpress 3 was segfaulting with “zend_mm_heap corrupted” errors until I updated from PHP 2.2.x to 3.0.4.

Thank you very much! This post solved it! I had same problem and memcached is completely necessary
