Marshall’s speech has changed again, lately: “Marshall read it” has become “Marshall read it on my own.”

Marshall pained a picture for his Aunt Stephanie, mostly lines and swirls in bright colors. He told his mom what all the different shapes were, and she wrote the names next to the shapes: pollywogs (red/green dots), train tracks (large yellow and green lines), a man (yellow blob), “I Love You” (dots), kitty cat (yellow circle).
Two hours later he described the painting to Stephanie, using the same names he had given his mom earlier.

Got a robocall on my cell from (949) 521-1896. Said I was eligible for an interest rate as low as 6.9%, asked me to press “1″ if I was interested. Pressed “1″. Connected with Dude, who asked me to verify I had pressed “1″ for a lower interest rate. Said, “Yes.” Then asked what my estimated credit card debt was. I ask, “Is this a call from Capital One?” (My credit card company.) Dude hangs up. Win?

Got my MacBook Pro back today, after a few days in the shop to get the trackpad replaced. I believe they also replaced my “glossy” keyboard with a “matte” version, which none of us in the office even knew was an option.

Dodged a video game-related bullet. I had been holding off on the Mac OS X 10.6.4 update because it interferes with some Steam games. Our computer shop applied the update while they were fixing a hardware issue, but in the interim Apple released a graphics update, so I would have upgraded today anyway. Sweet.
