Marshall’s speech has changed again, lately: “Marshall read it” has become “Marshall read it on my own.”

Marshall pained a picture for his Aunt Stephanie, mostly lines and swirls in bright colors. He told his mom what all the different shapes were, and she wrote the names next to the shapes: pollywogs (red/green dots), train tracks (large yellow and green lines), a man (yellow blob), “I Love You” (dots), kitty cat (yellow circle).

Two hours later he described the painting to Stephanie, using the same names he had given his mom earlier.

Marshall has been saying “en dango me” for six months. Charlotte just figured out it means, “in jungle me.” I wondered if we would ever get that one. And, no wonder he says it to his parrot, Pete.

“A Day Out With Thomas” was a bust. Long drive, pouring rain, and Marshall hated being on the train so we didn’t ride. Live and learn.

Marshall fell asleep while I held him, last night. It’s very rare, since he still likes to nurse right before falling asleep, but he had missed his afternoon nap and could hardly keep his eyes open after his shower. I was standing in the living room and he was in his little green robe as he fell asleep against me.

Marshall hasn’t used diapers since Wednesday, 12/16, to great success.

Marshall handed out candy to Trick or Treaters at Jenny and Justin’s house. Very cute, very patient. Gave candy to dozens of kids.

Went up to Windy Ridge Orchard today. Marshall seemed pretty impressed that you could pull and apple off a tree and just start eating it. He also liked the donkeys.

I was sneezing, and Marshall brought me a tissue. Also, he bites his fingernails.

Charlotte got a new, more comfortable bike seat, and we got an iBert for Marshall. Family biking!
