Got my MacBook Pro back today, after a few days in the shop to get the trackpad replaced. I believe they also replaced my “glossy” keyboard with a “matte” version, which none of us in the office even knew was an option.

Dodged a video game-related bullet. I had been holding off on the Mac OS X 10.6.4 update because it interferes with some Steam games. Our computer shop applied the update while they were fixing a hardware issue, but in the interim Apple released a graphics update, so I would have upgraded today anyway. Sweet.

I’ve been getting regular lockups (beach balls) on my unibody MacBook Pro. Found this thread on Apple discussion boards, linking to this thread on the MacRumors forums. Downgraded my firmware, waiting to see if the lockups persist.

As part of this change, my internal SATA was downgraded from 3Gbps to 1.5Gbps.

It does nothing for me, even with an external display attached.

Weird, it works on my MacBook. Have you upgraded to 10.5?

Nothing on my MacBook Pro (10.4). I’ll have to try my PowerBook (10.5) when I get home. I’ve been looking for this forever (pressing the brightness button takes waaaay too long)
