Had a busy weekend: Elizabeth’s Park (Bradford, VT), Quincy Bog (Rumney, NH), swimming in the Baker River (Wentworth, NH) and Lake Tarleton (Piermont, NH), and digging and thoroughly enjoying our new front yard fire pit.

Got a robocall on my cell from (949) 521-1896. Said I was eligible for an interest rate as low as 6.9%, asked me to press “1″ if I was interested. Pressed “1″. Connected with Dude, who asked me to verify I had pressed “1″ for a lower interest rate. Said, “Yes.” Then asked what my estimated credit card debt was. I ask, “Is this a call from Capital One?” (My credit card company.) Dude hangs up. Win?

I want to make a cooking blog called The Indifferent Kitchen where I half-heartedly start a semi-complicated recipe, and eventually just give up and eat Mac & Cheese.

Went to the Lancaster Fair. Got scolded by a sheriff. Food, in order: corn dog, pork loin sandwich, deep fried Three Musketeer, margarita-flavor shaved ice, chocolate milkshake. Good day.

Lost my wedding ring. It was bought sight unseen, and has always been too large for my finger despite how many times I go to Fat Bob’s. Likely lost it at the Lebanon, NH Dairy Queen.
